چکیده

A new approach to distributed synchronization (frequency alignment) for the coordination of nodes in open loop coherent antenna arrays enable beamforming is presented. This makes use concept consensus optimization among without requiring centralized control. Decentralized frequency can be achieved through iterative exchange nodes. We derive a model signal received from array and analyze effects on phase errors induced by oscillator drift. introduce discuss average protocol transfer undirected networks where each node transmits receives information other following cases: 1) with static topology; 2) dynamic topology, connections between are made lost dynamically; 3) show that all given network achieve number iterations needed minimized cluster theoretical error resulting both processing noise measurement noise, an optimal update interval minimizes error. Numerical simulations demonstrate algorithm enables tolerable obtain high gain greater than 90% ideal error-free phased array.

Analysis of Beamforming in Phased Antenna Arrays

294 Abstract — In this paper the beamforming and radiation pattern of various linear and planar phased antenna arrays configurations are presented. They are intended for use in indoor location estimation and wireless process monitoring applications based on the determining of direction-of-arrival (DOA) of radio signals by measuring the angle-of-arrival (AOA). Beamforming and the steering of ant...

A novel deconvolution beamforming algorithm for virtual phased arrays

Beamforming techniques using phased microphone arrays are one of the most common tools for localizing and quantifying noise sources. However, the use of such devices can result in a series of well-known disadvantages regarding, for instance, their very high cost or transducer mismatch. Virtual Phased Arrays (VPAs) have been proposed as an alternative solution to prevent these difficulties provi...

Steerable frequency-invariant beamforming for arbitrary arrays

Frequency-invariant beamforming aims to parameterize array filter coefficients such that the spectral and spatial response profiles of the array can be adjusted independently. Solutions to this problem have been presented for specific sensor configurations often requiring a larger number of sensors. However, in practical applications, the number and location of sensors are often restricted. Thi...

Frequency invariant beamforming for two-dimensional and three-dimensional arrays

A novel method for the design of two-dimensional (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) arrays with frequency invariant beam patterns is proposed. By suitable substitutions, the beam pattern of a 2-D or 3-D arrays can be regarded as the 3-D or 4-D Fourier transform of its spatial and temporal parameters. Since frequency invariance can be easily imposed in the Fourier domain, a simple design method i...
